Minimalism


You know why I love Mark Bittman? Because of his recipe for "Salmon roasted in butter". It's salmon, roasted, in butter. And he neither thinks that that is too simple to be delicious, nor too obvious to put in his cookbook. I feel like he's writing for people like me, who are a little bit lost in the kitchen--who haven't grown up cooking at the side of some stay-at-home mom or grandmother--but who love making good simple food. Salmon. Roasted. In butter. ... Fantastic. And now I'm hungry.
